IMG's Spring/Summer 2013 show package finally revealed! This season IMG have started to put more creativity by recruiting super talented fashion illustrator Danny Roberts to illustrate and decorate all 69 of its models for spring package only in three days. Insane right?
Danny explained on fashionista, "Since I only had three days to color 138 pictures [Ed. note: That's two drawings permodel], I knew I didn't have too much time to plan out each page, So I did whatever was the first idea popped into my head," Roberts added, "I basically, gave myself a minute to come up with an idea, then it was approximately 11 minutes per page." The entire process is captured on video and as you can see, while Roberts works mostly with colored pencils, crayons, and pastels, candy plays a big role.
Danny Roberts was born in Newport Beach, California, USA in 1985. Danny's interest in fashion started early as he established and operated his own clothing company in his teens, screen printing his design on t-shirt, sweatshirts, and sweats, until the end of his first year in college. He majored in photography at Cal Poly University San Luis Obispo, California and Fashion Illustration at the Academy of Art, San Francisco. In 2008 he started his blog Igor+Andre. His blog features Robert's art works, videos, illustrations and commentary which almost immediately found worldwide appreciation.
Danny Roberts has been featured the US Canada, China, Australia, Europe, UK, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, and Japan. Publication include Vogue Spain, Germany, Brazil, and Japan, Women's Wear Daily, Elle, New York Times, The Examiner, Dazed and Confused, Marie Claire Spain, N*Style, Vision China, Fashion Magazine, and many web publications.
